Very nicely designed app, and a great new take on news
I love having the ability to search for events in history using the iOS9 spotlight search. Being able to look up a date and a year find random historical events is inspiring.
The app is beautiful and easy to use, but is clearly aimed at a US audience. Would be nice to choose your country for a more targeted news stream.
Crashes every time I open the app after I updated to the latest iOS version
App is beautifully done, love the concept and pace. Consistency of content differs though from excellent to poor.
I really like the articles, interesting topics and thought provoking writing.
A beautiful and incredibly rich and informative app. Great job.
Learn about the history behind the headlines. Very informative tool and smart journalism. This app deserves to be on the home page screen of my iPhone.
This app is blog, meets news source, meets Reddit. Really interesting idea here, with historical context for current stories. The app looks really nice too, I especially like the way the images scroll on a slight delay to their entry on the main list. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to keep up with current events.
Well … tired of waiting for Apple News in Canada! This one went on TOP of ALL other similar Apps I tried. I am sure it won’t be replaced by Apple News if it ever shows up here. P.S. iPad???
After a long waiting on splash screen it closed itself without any advice
What happened! This was something I really used to enjoy. Please fix. It wont even open. I click on it, and it immediately takes me back to the home screen.
This is not news, its a liberal narrative disguised as news. Im not even conservative and is abundantly obvious that theres an agenda here. How about stories from all sources and views instead of the ones that fit your needs?
So biased it borders on satire. The writing on these "news" items is overwhelmingly juvenile. This is a snazzy looking OpEd generator for people who like to get their news from a negative feedback loop.
Its super leftist. Gone downhill a lot. Needs Better news sources. There is no way to talk to the writers and tell them that they are omitting crucial details to their timelines.
Far, far left, made up stories. Great fictional reading of how the writer would like you to believe his or her version of the world, but, it is extreme far from any truth.
Timeline is a fun concept of a historical view based on only one eye of perception. The left side. Most all of these stories are based on historical fact yet they purposely omit all the facts. I encourage you to take the stories with a grain of salt compared to that of the entire make up of a salt shaker. Read and attempt to understand their view, yet doing your own objective research will always lead you to the conclusion they have not told the entire story. Form your own opinion based not only on what they feed you but what you find to be true. It will be a common theme that you notice the history the write as fact can be compared to statistics that are sometimes skewed to reach only one persons perspective without offering another. If you can find major errors in even a small amount of their stories than how can you trust the majority of their "teachings"?
Im reviewing this app before trying it while it downloads in the background, based solely on the stellar reviews, and because a recent three star reviewer said its "liberal news" (chuckle) and he prefers flipboard. So I quickly deleted flipboard (its a sucky app anyway) and downloaded this news app lickity split. Based on that information, I already know I will love this news app. Ill update my review if I change my mind (dont stay tuned; that wont happen).
The app is designed well and the writing is good. Its helpful to know the histories of stories, rather than just the most recent updates. Thanks!
Im so darn in love with this app I dont know what to do with myself
